IFS coaching, one to one

Same model, pointed outward. You bring something you want to move — a decision you've been circling, a job that no longer fits, a habit that keeps winning — and we work with the parts of you that have a stake in it, until the way forward is one your whole system can get behind.

English · Italian · Polish (if you ask nicely)

First session 95 EUR, then 150 EUR an hour. By video, wherever you are.

Who it's for

Probably you, if…

Coaching and deeper inner work overlap all the time, and we follow whatever turns up. What makes it coaching is that the thing you came for is outside you, and it stays the point.

  • You know what you should do and keep not doing it, and willpower has stopped working.
  • A decision keeps getting reopened, because every time one side wins, another side of you undoes it.
  • You're good at your job and it's costing more than it used to.
  • You think a great deal and feel less, or the reverse, and want the two in the same room.
  • You want someone who will question your assumptions, not just nod along.

How it runs

What an IFS coaching session looks like

It isn't advice, and we won't hand you a plan. The plan comes out of the conversation between your parts, which is why it tends to hold.

  1. 01

    Name the thing

What you want to move, in plain words. Usually one sentence, and sometimes the first surprise is that the sentence changes.

  2. 02

Hear from everyone with a stake

The part that wants to go for it, the part that keeps finding reasons not to, the one that's tired. Each gets asked what it's protecting. None of them gets overruled — that's what hasn't been working.

  3. 03

    Find where the energy is

Once the protectors feel heard, something usually loosens. We notice what's possible from there — often more than a to-do list, sometimes much less.

  4. 04

Leave with a next step you'll actually take

Small and concrete, agreed by the parts that would otherwise sabotage it. Then we see what happened, next time.

What this isn't

Coaching assumes you're steady enough to aim at something. If that's not where you are right now, that matters more than the goal.

  • Neither of us is a licensed psychotherapist. If you're working with a diagnosis, coaching can sit alongside clinical support, not replace it.
  • If you're in acute crisis, please go to your local emergency service first, or find a crisis line near you.
  • The full list of when we're not the right call is on the sessions page.

Questions about IFS coaching

What's the difference between IFS coaching and IFS therapy?

The model is the same. Therapy treats: it's aimed at healing, often at old pain, and in most countries it needs a clinical licence. Coaching aims at something you want to change in your life, and treats the parts that get in the way as colleagues to negotiate with rather than symptoms. In practice the two overlap, and when coaching turns up something that needs deeper work, we'll say so.

Do I need to know IFS first?

No. Some people like the ninety-second version beforehand; plenty start cold.

How many sessions does it take?

It depends on the thing. A stuck decision can move in one or two sessions. A career change or a pattern you've lived with for years usually takes a few months of regular work. The Alignment Intensive exists for the middle case.

Is coaching a regulated title?

Not where we work, which is exactly why it's worth asking anyone — us included — what training sits behind it. Ours is on Pau's and Alex's pages.

Can you coach teams or leaders at work?

We work one to one here. Alex also facilitates groups and events; if that's what you need, write to us.
