IFS for psychedelic integration

A psychedelic experience can show you parts of yourself very fast, and then leave you on your own with them. IFS is a good way to meet what came up — the beautiful, the terrifying and the confusing — at a pace your system can take.

Who it's for

Before, after, or long after

We work on the sober side of the experience: getting ready, and making sense of it afterwards.

  • Before: you're planning an experience and want to know what your protectors think about it — they usually have opinions.
  • After: something opened, and you don't know what to do with it yet.
  • Long after: an experience from months or years ago still comes back, as flashbacks, fear, or a sense that you haven't finished with it.
  • It was hard. A difficult experience, or one that left you unsettled or unable to sleep.
  • It was wonderful, and daily life feels flat. Integration isn't only for bad trips.

How it works

Why IFS suits integration

Psychedelics often show people their parts directly: the child, the critic, the one that's been holding its breath for years. IFS gives those parts somewhere to go afterwards.

  1. 01

Get to know what showed up

Often a part you met during the experience is ready to keep talking. We help it do that, sober, and slowly.

  2. 02

    Settle the protectors

Some parts are shaken by what happened, or by what might happen if you go back. They get listened to first.

  3. 03

    Sort out what's yours

Not everything that shows up feels like it belongs to you. The model has language for that — unattached burdens — and a gentle way of working with it.

  4. 04

    Bring it into daily life

Insight fades if it doesn't change anything. We look for the small, concrete change that lets it land.

Who you'd work with

Both of us trained for this

Both of us have trained with Robert Falconer, author of The Others Within Us: Pau in the IFS and psychedelics training, and both of us in the Others Within Us supervision group on intense work and unattached burdens.

currently accepting new clients

The more experienced of us as an IFS practitioner, and trained specifically in IFS and psychedelic work. Good when an experience has brought up old pain that needs slow, careful work.

What it costs

First session — 95 EUR

The same full session as any other, with either of us.

Single session — 150 EUR

185 EUR for 75 minutes

No commitment beyond the hour. Longer sessions often suit integration work.

Packs

For preparation and integration around one experience, a few sessions close together work well. Packs are on the sessions page.

What we don't do

We'd love to offer legal, supported psychedelic sessions one day. For now, what we offer is support before and after — and these limits are firm.

  • We don't supply, source or recommend substances, and we don't advise on where to get them.
  • We don't hold sessions while you're under the influence. All our work happens sober.
  • We can't advise on medication. Some psychedelics interact dangerously with common prescriptions; ask a doctor.
  • If you have a personal or family history of psychosis or bipolar disorder, please talk to a psychiatrist before any psychedelic experience. We can support you alongside that care, not instead of it.
  • If you're in acute crisis — not sleeping, frightened, not feeling like yourself for days — please go to your local emergency service first, or find a crisis line near you.

Questions about psychedelic integration

Do I need to tell you what I took, and where?

Only what's useful for the work. We don't judge, and what you tell us stays confidential.

Is psychedelic integration the same as psychedelic therapy?

No. Psychedelic-assisted therapy happens under the influence, with licensed clinical teams where it's legal. Integration is the work you do sober, before and after. That's what we offer; neither of us is a licensed therapist.

I had the experience years ago. Is it too late?

No. Plenty of people come long afterwards, when something from the experience keeps coming back.

I've never done IFS. Does that matter?

No. If you've met your parts on a psychedelic, you're already most of the way there. The ninety-second version is here if you want it.
